World Champion Cyril Junior Dim visits the Munich Business Speakers on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
In our club, we strive to maintain a professional standard of speaking – and of hosting!
For this reason, we were particularly proud that the Toastmasters 2022 World Champion of Public Speaking, Cyril Junior Dim, accepted our invitation to speak at our club and answer our members’ questions. We were also delighted that members of other clubs joined us on this inspiring occasion.
We were really excited to meet Cyril as one of our long-standing members had been mentoring him for the past 2 years, which gave our club a personal connection to him. We had already created a special club event to watch Cyril at the quarter-finals, making every member of our club an honorary contest judge, which was highly educational. Particularly, newer members learned how Toastmasters defines and assesses various aspects of a speech.
Our judges voted Cyril the winner, so we were overjoyed when he actually won the World Championship in 2022.
Toastmasters Speech Contests are a perfect springboard to a professional career in public speaking. Cyril has already received invitations to speak at TEDx, to give a keynote speech at his university and be interviewed on Polish National Radio. We wish him all the very best for his further journey, which we will be following with great interest.

P.S. Some of us will be travelling to Aarhus in May for the District 95 Conference, where – we have heard – Cyril will be giving a keynote speech.
