Our rollout took Spring 2018 with all in Region 11. You all have a Pathways access Login on www.toastmasters.org and here you are going to find supportive material which we found useful.
Support for Base Camp Managers in the Clubs
Every Toastmaster year we have new officers and thus new Base Camp Managers (VPE, Secretary and President) who are supposed to help their members. We found that at the start it might be a bit much and therefore provided a webinar, conducted by Steve Miller (thank you very much) which is recorded.
- Recording from September ’18 webinar – 90MB – (see below the timetable of the content)
- Additional recording dealing with Dual Members – 22MB
- Navigator – Path & Core Competencies – Project Description Reference in English (referenced in webinar)
- Navigator – Pfade & Projektbeschreibung in German (referenced in webinar)
- Base Camp Manager Duties
So folks don’t have to go through the entire webinar, here’s a rough timeline:
- 0:00:00 Welcome/Intro
- 0:12:00 Pathways Overview
- 0:17:30 Selecting a Path
- 0:23:00 Navigating Base Camp (finding evaluations, project descriptions, search, tutorials, etc)
- 0:43:30 Working through a Project
- 0:58:30 Completing a Level
- 1:01:00 Special Considerations (Level 1-Project 2, Ensuring Evaluators have Evaluation forms)
- 1:08:30 Navigating Base Camp Manager
- 1:13:00 Approving a Level Completion request
- 1:15:00 Reviewing Member Progress (reports)
- 1:19:30 Easy Speak
- 1:20:30 Q&A

Also Ellen Hermens, Pathways Chief Ambassador (email@example.com) and Goetz Mueller, Pathways Coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org) stay active and feel free to get in touch when your first approaches to solve something didn´t help.
