D95 Annual Awards
2023 - 2024

Welcome to District 95 annual Awards

All of these awards will be handed over at the Hall of Fame event during our Spring District Conference.

Members of the District 95 Core Team will choose the most honored members or clubs for the D95 OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2023/2024.

Members of the D95 Core Team are not eligible for any award during their time of duty.

We will activate a Google form to send your nominations for each Award on 1st April 2024.

D95 Excellence in Education Club Award

The “D95 Excellence in Education Award” will be given to the club that has achieved the highest number of Pathways level awards per member in the current year.

Award criteria:

  • A club is in good standing 
  • Calculation based on clubs in order of Pathway Level Awards divided by number of Club members 

 

Top three clubs are announced at the District Conference. The 1st place Club receives a trophy. 

D95 Phoenix Award

The “D95 Phoenix of the Year Award” will be given to a Club that magnificently rises from the ashes of low membership to charter strength during the Toastmasters year . 

 

Eligibility criteria:

  •     New clubs chartered during the current Toastmasters year are not eligible for this award.
  •     Clubs with a base membership of less than 20 members on 1st July of the current Toastmasters year
  •     The Club must grow to 20 or more members
  •     Net growth of at least 5 members
  •     Club results will be ranked based on net growth

 

Top three Clubs are announced at the District Conference. The 1st place Club receives a trophy.

D95 Excellence in Membership Growth Award

The “D95 Excellence in Membership Growth Award” will be given to the club with the highest membership growth

 Award criteria:

  • Clubs that existed at the beginning of the current Toastmasters year. 
  • The starting point for achieving this award is having a net growth of at least 12 members (As seen on the Dashboard, Club membership base plus 12). 
  • Ranked by the net growth rate percentage. 

 

Top three Clubs are announced at the District Conference. The 1st place Club receives a trophy. 

D95 Best of 5 Club Awards

During these times, we all need to focus on rebuilding our clubs and our organization by attracting and adding new members, along with membership retention.
We would like to therefore introduce you to our latest award: Best of 5!

Clubs need to complete any 3 out of below requirements to earn 100 € club:

  • Conduct a Speechcraft or Youth Leadership Program
  • Conduct an Open House (needs to be announced to the trio prior to execution)
  • 1 Member of the club completes Pathways Mentoring
  • Complete 1 Membership Building Campaign (Beat the clock, Smedley Award, Talk up Toastmasters!)
  • Be a host club for a prospective club
D95 Excellence in PR Award

The D95 Excellence in PR Award will be given to the member who has produced a significant amount of PR in edited media (media not under your control).

Eligibility: All members, District Officers included. Members of the D95 Extended Core Team are not eligible.

  • Newspaper articles (offline and online) 

  • Radio interviews, reports, podcasts

  • Television interviews (offline and online)

 

The winner is selected by the District Award Committee and announced at the District Conference.

D95 Club Builder of the Year Award

The “D95 Club Builder of the Year Award” will be given to a leader, who was actively involved in chartering clubs.

 

Members of the D95 Extended Core Team are not eligible for this award. 

 

Eligibility criteria:

  • All charter members of the newly chartered Club, Club sponsors or Club mentors active in chartering Clubs during the current Toastmasters year are eligible for this award.
  • A leader who has chartered Clubs with the shortest chartering time from Demo Meeting to Club Chartering or a
  • Recommendation letter from a member of the newly chartered Club. 
  • Nomination by District members takes place by filling out the nomination form available between 1st and 15th April

 

The Club Builder of the Year is selected by the District Award Committee and announced at the District Conference. 

D95 Division Director of the Year Award

D95 would like to recognize one of the District 95 Division Directors as the D95 Division Director of the Year. This tradition is a meaningful way to show the District’s gratitude to an individual who has supported their Division and their Area Directors in a very engaging way. 

Eligibility criteria:

  • Area Director Visit Reports for clubs in the Division to be filed for Round #1 on/before 30th November;, Round #2 on/before 15th April.
  • Attended at least 3 of the 4 DECM 
  • Must have received at least 2 District Officer Training credits 
  • The more DOT attended, the higher the ranking.
  • Submitted COT Attendance of all Club Officers to TMI or PQD by 31st Aug and 29th Feb. 
  • Higher percentage of proxies from the Division for Annual General Meeting (International Convention) results in higher ranking.

 

Eligibility

  • Open to all Division Directors
  • Key date: 15th April (Data will be extracted on the 15th April closing date.)
  • Recommendation letter or nominations from the Trio and Toastmaster members in the Division.
  • Nomination forms are available between 1st – 15th April.

 

The Division Director of the Year is selected by the District Award Committee and announced at the District Conference.

D95 Toastmaster of the Year Award

The “D95 Toastmaster of the Year Award” may be given to that member, who makes a significant contribution to the goals and mission of the District:

Current members of the District Executive Committee are not eligible for this award.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Any member in good standing of District 95 who has achieved a minimum of Pathways
    Level 2. DTM’s must also have worked in Pathways to Level 2 certification.
  • The Member will have worked in Membership Building and/or Membership Retention as one or more of the following:
    • New members’ sponsor
    • Conducted trainings/educationals to promote club membership retention
  • Conducted/coordinated membership campaigns on any level
    • Club Mentor

    • Club Sponsor

    • Club Coach

    • Supported Demo Meetings

  • Worked on Education and Training in one or more of the following:
    • Achieved at least two Pathways education levels in the current year

    • Participated in Club Officer Trainings

    • Served as a Mentor in the current year

    • Conducted an education/webinar/training session at an Area event.

    • Conducted an education/webinar/training session at a Division event.

    • Conducted an education/webinar/training session at a District event.

    • Conducted or organized a Club Officer Training

    • Youth Leadership Coordinator / Speechcraft Coordinator / Success Leadership or Success Communication Coordinator

  • Worked on Commitment and Support  in one or more of the following:
    • Previous year:
      • District Conference Chairman/Coordinator

      • Chief Judge/Contest Chair/Judge/Contestant

    • Current year
      • Area/Division/District Assistant roles

      • Other Conference or District Event chairman/coordinator

      • Supported Division or Area conferences by acting as Chief Judge/Contest Chair/Voting Judge

      • Division or Area Contestant

  • Other Considerations:
    • Supported or initiated activities related to the District Mission and Strategy

    • Contributed to District success over several years 

 

Process:

  • Provide a one-page recommendation letter why this candidate deserves this award.
  • Nominations are allowed by any District member in good standing
  • Nomination takes place by completing a nomination form between 1st – 15th April
